1. What is VOLARE+
VOLARE+ (Volare Plus) is the latest version of Volare that is built on open source technologies leveraging on latest security and compliance controls, equipped with advanced telephony technologies and improved scalability. Through the VOLARE+ subscription plan, you can scale up your operations without having to worry about buying or upgrading your hardware and software.
2. Why subscription?

In recent years, we have observed that most support calls stem from system related issues e.g.:

c. Security settings and configuration
d. Connectivity between servers

f. System maintenance
g. Pentest findings

These non-productive system operational issues have cost both Stampede and our customers significant losses. It has distracted us from important work that could have benefited both parties.
To overcome these challenges, we have introduced a subscription model where Stampede will provide, host and maintain all server side hardware and security services. We are committed to invest and provide the best system infrastructure so that you can grow without having to worry about the tech side of things.
The consolidation and standardisation of system infrastructure allows us to provide you with the best experience of VOLARE+ at a very competitive price.
ii. Smaller CAPEX investment
With the subscription model, you do not have to purchase servers and related system software e.g. Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, etc. The complete infrastructure required to host VOLARE+ is set up in a secured Tier 3 certified data center.
This also eliminates the need to upgrade, size up, maintain and refresh any server infra as your operations grow.
iii. Better scalability
Having built on a VM platform, our enterprise grade infrastructure is designed to grow and scale in accordance to your business needs. This eliminates the need to upgrade, size up, maintain and refresh any server infra as your operations grow.
Regardless of the number of users you are subscribed to, we will exclusively provision a new environment in our private Virtual Machine (VM) in a secured Tier 3 certified data center to host VOLARE+ and related services, just for you.
On top of that, this will also ensure that the whole infra is fully redundant and fault tolerant.
3. Can I have a demo access to VOLARE+?
Demo/trial access can only be provided once we have provided you with an online system walkthrough. This is to start you on the right foot – ensuring that you are sufficiently equipped with necessary information to get the best out of VOLARE+.
4. What’s the advantage to switching over to VOLARE+ compared to the existing Volare versions?
For existing customers, you must be wondering if it is worth the hassle and investment to upgrade from the existing version to VOLARE+. Here are some key factors that might motivate you to switch to VOLARE+:
- New look – The latest VOLARE+ look and feel is the result of 18 years of experience working on collection software. We have improved the design with primary focus on agents – making sure that information and tools are conveniently accessible and easy to use. We also leveraged on the latest technologies to bring a more responsive experience to users.
- Latest technologies – The latest VOLARE+ is completely rewritten from ground up with added emphasis on scalability and security. It is built to leverage on current voice and AI technologies as well as future advancements such as voice biometrics and better predictive dialer algorithm.
- Built for cloud/browser based – As with all modern applications, VOLARE+ is now fully and natively browser based. All functionalities built into VOLARE+ can be run on a browser without installing anything on the PC. Bandwidth requirement is reduced to a minimal. It will also work on any modern browser with WebRTC capabilities (only required if you want to make calls).
- Subscription model – Large one time software and hardware acquisition cost is a burden to any company. The investment will require maintenance cost and depreciates over time. The large investments will prevent you from freely switching to try out something new in case something new comes up. With the subscription model, you have a lot more flexibility to scale (up or down) without having to worry about large investments, system maintenance, upgrade costs, and related unplanned expenses.
- No need to maintain hardware – In recent years, we have observed that the biggest support calls are issues that stem from system (e.g. hardware, security, operating system) related issues. These non-productive operational issues have cost both Stampede and our customers significant losses. It has distracted us from important work that could have benefited both parties. The new VOLARE+ operates on a subscription model that doesn’t require you to invest into any server and related software. We will provide and maintain these infrastructure for you. All you need is a PC with a web browser to get going!
- Compliance – Collection and recovery is a highly regulated space especially if you are working on bank/FI customer’s data. This is especially challenging when you have multiple systems/point of contact – preview call, predictive dialer campaigns, SMS, voice broadcast and email. To give you better control, we have put in place a series of parameterised policies and enforcement so that VOLARE+ can help make sure that you are in compliance with all regulations.
Telephony
1. What telephony solution is included in VOLARE+?
VOLARE+ includes all standard telephony solutions e.g. click to dial (preview call/manual call), voice call recording, predictive dialer and voice monitoring (spy, whisper and barge). All voice/telephony related hardware is also provided as part of the hosted solution.
2. Is predictive dialer also provided in the package for VOLARE+?
Yes, the complete suite of predictive dialer is included in the standard VOLARE+ subscription. All voice/telephony related hardware is also provided as part of the hosted solution.
3. Do I need to use any special device or special software to make calls (predictive/preview/manual calls)?
No. You do not need to purchase or install any special device or server to make calls or create predictive dialer campaigns. All you need are:
- a standard and stable internet connection with at least 100kbps bandwidth for each user,
- a headphone connected to the PC, and
- Internet browser (Google Chrome)
Your phone charges will be billed separately from your software subscription.
Do note that bandwidth should be measured using tools like https://www.speedtest.net/. The bandwidth quoted by your ISP (internet service provider) does not indicate actual bandwidth available for use. We advise you to seek advice from a professional and certified network engineer to help you assess and setup your computer network.
4. How does the phone system work?
VOLARE+ is an all in one accounts receivable/debt collection software provided as a hosted service to you. You do not need additional hardware or software to make calls from VOLARE+.
Once a user is logged-in to VOLARE+ using an internet browser, you just need to click on a debtor’s phone number to make a call, or click “CONNECT” to connect to a predictive dialer campaign (campaign to be created by you) and you are ready to receive calls. Our servers in the datacenter will take care of the rest.
Make sure you have a USB headphone connected to your PC – we recommend Microtel MT-17 professional call centre headsets.
5. What is the bandwidth required to use VOLARE+ and make calls?

6. Does VOLARE+ allow me to make calls using physical desk phones? I want to answer incoming calls from my physical desk phones and transfer call to my collector’s extension on VOLARE+.
Yes VOLARE+ allows you to connect your physical desk phone to the same system provided it is standard SIP compliant. When we provision VOLARE+ for you, a part of the setup is the telephony system (IPPBX). We can provide you with the connection/SIP extension details for this IPPBX so that you can configure your IP Phone to connect to the IPPBX.
With this setup, you are able to make and receive calls from your IP Phone and transfer calls from your IP phone to users connected to VOLARE+ through the browser.
All calls will be recorded as usual.
commercial and licensing
1. How do you charge?
When you sign-up to VOLARE+, there will be 2 charges – 1) setup fee – one time, and 2) subscription fee – monthly. The subscription fee is invoiced to you on a monthly basis based on the number of active concurrent users that are using VOLARE+.

2. The license model – is it concurrent users or named users?
Our user license is calculated based on concurrent users. You are able to create as many user profiles that you wish, but the number of concurrent users is equal to the number of users subscribed & billed. The additional users will not be allowed to login until another user logs out.

The increase or reduction of subscription usually takes effect 2 hours after request is made. However, billing will only reflect the change in your next billing cycle. Our bill cycle is last day of month.
Scenario 1
Assuming you are currently subscribe to 12 licenses as at 01 August 2020. On 7 August, you send in a request to increase from 12 to 20 licenses. On 31 August 2020, we will bill you for 12 licenses. On 30 September 2020 we will bill you for 20 licenses.
Scenario 2
Assuming you are currently subscribe to 12 licenses as at 01 August 2020. On 15 August, you send in a request to reduce from 12 to 10 licenses. On 31 August 2020, we will bill you for 12 licenses. On 30 September 2020 we will bill you for 10 licenses.
3. What is the minimum number of users? And minimum incremental users?
The minimum number of users is 5. Incremental users is 1.
4. How does the software renewal and cancellation work?
There is a 12 months commitment period when you first sign-up for VOLARE+. The software is automatically renewed for 12 months on an annual basis after the initial 12 month subscription.
For early cancellation (before the commitment period is over), you will be billed for the remaining months of the commitment period.
Cancellation after the commitment period requires 3 months written notice.
Upon receiving written consent from you (customer) to discontinue/decommission your VOLARE+ environment, we can assist to extract and send you a backup copy of your database. Users will not be able to access VOLARE+ anymore. Additionally, support from our team will no longer be made available.
5. What is the subscription period?
There is a 12 months commitment period when you first sign-up for VOLARE+. The software is automatically renewed after the initial 12 month subscription.
6. What do I need to do when I have a new staff?
You can increase the number of additional users subscribed at any point in time by calling our Support Department +60327278888 or email us at support@stampedesolution.com.

7. Apart from the standard VOLARE+ subscription fee, is there any other costs I should be aware of?
Apart from the one time setup fee and monthly subscription fee, you will not be billed any other charges for VOLARE+. However do note that you will be billed monthly for your phone usage (phone bill) or SMS usage.
Under the VOLARE+ subscription program, you are entitled to a free upgrade and enhancement, which are automatically released every 1 to 3 months. We will also consider feature requests from our customers. If accepted, the feature request will be documented by our Product Team and put into our product roadmap. Once it is in our roadmap, it will be developed and deployed within 3 to 6 months – once again, FOC.
8. Does admin/supervisor user account counts as a paid subscription account?
Just like any other user, this account does occupy a license seat. However note that our user license is calculated based on concurrent users. You are able to create as many user profiles that you wish, but the number of concurrent users is equal to the number of users subscribed & billed. The additional users will not be allowed to login until another user logs out.
Technical, Infra and Security
1. What is your containment strategy
VOLARE+ is hosted in a secured Tier 3 commercial data centre on a privately owned and managed host/servers. This allows us to independently plan and strategise our containment strategy.

Software/Application Containment
All databases and data files are hosted on a separately provisioned environment (VM). Each of these environment are assigned a public IP for better containment and segregation. In the event one environment is compromised, it will not affect the other environment. The infra is designed to isolate all environments within the infra.
Encryption
VOLARE+ transmits 2 types of data between client and server, voice (RTP over DTLS) and signalling data (SIP over WSS, HTTPS). Our aim is to make sure that both transmissions are secured using the best encryption technology available.
While SSL implementation ensures that both client servers establish a secured connection, DHE key exchange method makes SSL stronger and difficult to decrypt even with the private key.
Using DHE, it is impossible for data packets to be hijacked in transmission and decrypted due to the key exchange method. The same implementation is applied to VOLARE+ voice and signalling. DHE is implemented on top of HTTPS and WSS. For DHE cipher suites, the RSA private key is only used for signing the DH parameters, and not for encryption. These parameters are used in a DH (or DHE) key exchange, resulting in a shared secret which is not visible in a packet capture.
Network/Connectivity Containment
VOLARE+ software architecture is distributed over the individual services and further isolated by the design of our server infrastructure.
To protect our environment, only 3 services are exposed to public – HTTPS, WSS and RTP over DTLS (all encrypted) allowing us to focus intrusion monitoring on only 4 specific TCP ports.
Databases are isolated in a separate network environment – access by application server is only allowed with restricted single local IP address. This environment is completely isolated from public network interfaces within the infra.
On the network layer, all server to server connectivity are explicitly predefined. No [word missing – additional/extra/empty] route exists thus removing the possibility of any intrusion attempt.
2. I have a 3 year data retention policy. What is the maximum storage allow on VOLARE+ infra?
VOLARE+ provides up to 500mb of storage per user for database, voice recording files and all other related files e.g. if you have 50 users, your total combined storage allocated is 25gb.
For backup purposes, we can assist you to schedule a weekly push/pull data to a remote file storage server at your office. If you wish to retain data in VOLARE+ beyond the allocated storage, you may contact us at support@stampedesolution.com to request for additional storage for a small fee.
3. Can I buy additional storage for yourself or my organisation?
Yes. If you wish to increase the storage on your VOLARE+ server beyond the allocated storage, you may contact us at support@stampedesolution.com to request for additional storage for a small fee. VOLARE+ provides up to 500mb of storage per user for database, voice recording files and all other related files e.g. if you have 50 users, your total combined storage allocated is 25gb.
4. What support is included?
Support is provided by one of two methods: either by phone, or by email (support@stampedesolution.com). We aim to respond to all questions within one business day. Support via IM or chat is not provided for security reasons. The support team may, in certain circumstances, decide to access your environment via TeamViewer. You are advised to observe and monitor activities on the screen while our support team is performing troubleshooting for monitoring and learning.
